The ELM1064 is based on our diffusion bonded Nd:YAG + Cr:YAG crystals. By variation of different parameters as length or degree of outcoupling, it is possible to influence beam parameters so that we can offer standard versions as well as manufactured lasers according to customers' requests.
ELM1064 is a compact module which, e.g., can produce pulses up to 70µJ with a pulse width of approximately 3.6ns. The by factor of 4 more powerful ELM1064 HP module generates pulses up to 210µJ.
One of the many applications is LIBS (Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy). Plasm is produced by a laser pulse on a sample where its radiation is captured by via fibers for example and is guided to the spectrometer. The atomic composure of the sample can be determined by analyzing such spectra. Another applications of these modules are LIDAR (LIght Detection And Ranging), marking, LIFT (Laser Induced Forward Transfer), etc.
