ELM1064

ELM1064

The ELM1064 series is based on our diffusion-bonded Nd:YAG + Cr:YAG crystals. By varying several parameters such as the length, the initial transmission or the degree of output coupling of the crystals, it is possible to influence the beam parameters, so that we can offer both standard versions and customized lasers.

ELM1064 is a compact module which is able to generate e.g. pulses of up to 70 µJ energy at a pulse width of about 3.6 ns. The more powerful ELM1064 HP module generates pulses of up to 210 µJ energy.

One of the numerous applications is LIBS (Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy). In LIBS, a laser pulse is applied to a sample to generate plasma. The radiation of the plasma is captured and guided to the spectrometer, for example by means of glass fibers. By analyzing the recorded spectra, the atomic composition of the sample can be determined. Other applications of the modules include LIDAR (light detection and ranging), marking and LIFT (Laser Induced Forward Transfer).
