Prisms

IMPEX manufactures prisms of various types from different suitable crystals.

Optical prisms are used either for beam deflection or as dispersive elements. The principle of total reflection or the dependence of the refractive index in relation to the wavelength is used. In spectral devices the prisms are used for spectral decomposition.

The optical prisms we offer are suitable for a wide range of applications. Prisms can be produced from materials such as sapphire, quartz, fluorides, and other materials. Our extensive range of optical prisms includes a variety of different shapes and configurations, such as rectangular prisms, dispersive prisms, roof prisms, retroreflective prisms, penta- and wedge prisms.

Optionally, prisms can be coated to minimise reflection losses, for example.
