Cavity flow tubes for flash lamp pumped lasers

Cavity flow tubes (monoblocks), built as one solid optical element, usually combine and perform the function of laser pump chamber, flow tube, filter and reflector. A flow tube is machined out of a block or rod of carefully selected high optical quality Quartz glass material, undoped or doped with the appropriate rare earth or metal ions. We use chemical and electro-chemical coatings with Silver and Copper or other layers to generate the reflector surface.

Special reflectors for diode pumped lasers

Specular reflectors for diode pumped lasers consist of fused silica quartz or sapphire tubes, the external surface of which is covered with silver (high reflection Ag) coating with protecting layers. Several areas of this reflector are open as a window for diode pumping. This kind of reflectors would be produced with required window sizes and configuration in accordance with the customer’s requirements.

  •   Samarium doped Glass S7005, S7010
  •   Pyrex Glass
  •   Borofloat 33
  •   Other materials

Standard dimensions and tolerances:

  •   Inside diameter: 2-40 mm (+/- 0,05-0,10) mm
  •   Length: 10-130 mm (+/- 0,05-0,10) mm
  •   Parallelism: 0,05-0,1 mm

Also, flow tubes can be designed and manufactured upon customer’s request.
